What this proves

What the proof settles, and what it leaves open.

Backtest of a committed model: no lookahead, but the model may have been fitted to this history.

Proven

Returns after costs, recomputed inside a zero-knowledge proof on committed data.
The strategy stayed sealed. Nothing about how it works is disclosed by this credential.
Lookahead: impossible (every decision recomputed in-proof from a committed model).

Not claimed

Hindsight: not excluded (the model could have been trained knowing the period).
Not a forecast. It describes a record; it does not predict the next one.
Not advice or a rating of any person. A verdict on one record against one public bar.
Not PROVEN. Only a forward track, committed before its data existed, earns PROVEN.

Disclosed metrics

What the gate measured, after costs.

Refused, and published anyway. The gate said no and the proof shipped with the same weight as a pass. A gate that passes everything certifies nothing; refusals are what make a pass worth something.

Random batch drawn with a published seed ("MIZAN · random batch · 2026-10-18") from current S&P 500 members with history since 2019. Same 4-8-1 design, features [1,5,21,63], costs 7+5 bps, trained before 2023 only. The forward pass runs inside the proof; weights are never revealed. Published whatever the verdict.
